What is MIDNIGHT RUN
Midnight Run is a project that we have created to film Australia's best supercars in the darkness of night against all the great city lights that make our cities glow.
As major car enthusiasts, exclusive media team for The Otium Club and Ferrari Club Victoria, we wanted to create a concept that allowed us to do what we love best. Filming amazing cars late at night when there's minimal traffic about, creating cinematic and elegant videos as well as high energy dynamic content to suit the owners preferences.
The Process & Timing
1
Early Evening
We start the evening off with the sound recording stage. This is where we hook your car up with mics and record the sound of your engine and exhaust as you take it through the gears, including the exciting sound of downshifts as well as the explosive acceleration.
2
Mid Evening
Here, we go to some of our favourite locations in the city and film the car stationary. We have some awesome locations that show city lights, bridges, laneways and buildings to create incredible backdrops as we get close ups of all the special features of your car.
3
Late Evening
As the roads get quieter and there's no one about, we begin our continuous roller shots.
Our vehicle is equiped with state of the art technology featuring external cranes with remote controlled cameras to get the perfect angles of the car moving.
All of our Midnight Run video shoots are done in the middle of the night to ensure empty roads and bright city lights. We tend to start around 7pm and continue to about midnight. There are three of us managing the operation including sound recording, crane cameras, drones, car mounted cameras, gimbals and film vehicle set up with the cranes and external cameras to capture your car on the move.
